Havering Chamber of Commerce – Event Registration Terms and Conditions
1. Registration and Attendance
By registering for a Havering Chamber of Commerce event, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete. You agree to receive event-related communications including confirmation emails, reminders, and post-event follow-ups.
2. Event Fees and Payment
Member businesses may attend designated networking events free of charge as part of their membership benefits. Non-member guests receive one complimentary event visit; subsequent attendance may require payment of the advertised event fee. Fees, where applicable, must be paid in accordance with the payment terms specified at registration.
3. Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend after registering, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so your place can be offered to others. For paid events, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis. No-shows may affect future event registration privileges.
4. Photography, Video and Marketing
Havering Chamber of Commerce may photograph or video record events for promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and marketing materials. By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded and for such images to be used for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform a member of staff at the event.
5. Data Protection and Privacy
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will use your information to manage event registrations, communicate about chamber activities, and provide member services. We will not sell or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
6. Code of Conduct
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Havering Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the premises, any individual whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
7. Liability
Havering Chamber of Commerce takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of attendees at our events. However, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, or injury sustained at events unless caused by our negligence. Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings.
8. Changes to Events
We reserve the right to make changes to event details, including venue, time, speakers, or format, or to cancel events if necessary. In the event of cancellation, registered attendees will be notified and any fees paid will be refunded in full.
